We couldn't have asked for a better day to take a field trip to the farm. The kids got to see and pet the cows, play with the new puppy, and even enjoy a little ride on the gator. The students enjoyed a picnic lunch and an ice cream treat to end the day! Take a look at our fun day!

What a beautiful day to be swinging from the trees! The 8th graders took a trip to Four Mounds Rope Course. They had a blast using teamwork to accomplish very physical tasks! Happy 8th Birthday to our little miss Hailey. She sure knows how to brighten up a room....and loves FROZEN of course! Students read the book 'Stone Soup' and watched a video. We talked about how there are many versions to Stone Soup, but they all have the same story line. The students then used a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the differences and similarities. The students were then to come up with their own version of Stone Soup. They used the same story line, but chose their own characters and setting. Here is where their imaginations took them! This week in Social Studies we are talking about our families. We discussed our nuclear family (immediate family) and our extended family. We also touched on cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. The students were to go home and discuss with their parents their relations. They were then supposed to write down their grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. They used that information to construct a family tree. Check them out! The students and staff had a GREAT time at Champion Games. The students participated in many activities- 8 person relay race, bubbles, bounce houses, face painting, tug-a-war, wheel chair races, and baseball.
Room 120 has been super busy the last month. Here are some activities that the students have been doing. Enjoy! |
